I will be in Athens for 5 days then have 5 more days to do whatever and trying to figure out where to go.

I have been to mykonos and skiathos. Looking for beach and adventure sports, if possible.

Yes, Corfu is beautiful and out of the world. You should try it though it may be a bit cold in this weather...

Santorini is another where you might try and go. It was the top destination last year.

Hop on a ferry, some should still be operating, and see some of the islands.
I think the weather won't be any good for the beach right now and they close everything down when the season is finnished and I would say it would just about be finnished.

Meteora is another must with massive sheer columes of rock that dot the landscape. Perched precariously on top of these seemingly unaccessible outcrops are monasteries that date back to the late 14 century. Meteora is just north of the town of Kalambaka on the Ioannina-Trikala road. The rocks behind the town are spectacularly floodlit at night. Meteora is best explored on foot, following the old paths where they exist. Allow a whole day to visit all of the monasteries and take food and water. You must dress appropiately. This is extremely interesting and you will use energy getting to the top.

I suggest you visit Crete island for the remaining 5 days. It is located southern, therefore it is quite certain that the weather is more hot, there are several beaches, you may enjoy adventure sports and nice food.
There are 3 airports on the island as well as several boats with fixed trips. You could possibly arrange to return to your country directly from one of the 3 Cretan airports in order not to loose time.
I recommend Chania area.

The summer season ends up on October the 28th so don;t worry. However you can find a lot of hotels that remain open after this date.
Additional to the beach you may visit locations where the traditional way of life is still active. An example could be ''Milies''. You may find info at www.milies.gr
Have a nice trip!

Islands is a good choice tho i dunno if u ll find many ppl there..in october! n mostly if u can do adventure sports..beach isnt smthn i d recommend too..its october ! noone will b in the beach..n trust me u wont really feel like swimmin..its not so hot !

So i d recommend u to forget the beach !

Try to see the mountaneous greece..i m sure u ll love it ..u can go to ioannina.. visit the vikos canyon..second deepest in the world after grand canyon..there are also many villages there ..they are called zagorohoria..r zagoria..like the most famous one called metsovo..and if u want adventure sports u can try raftin on the beautiful rivers there..mayb some climbin too if u find somoene to guide u r wateva..

Ioannina is a beautiful city..n tho there is no beach there ..u ll find a great lake..with a small island ..its a very historic place n there castle next to the lake..

you can reach ioannina by plane..bus takes about 7-8 hours..

search online for more information about this city..n by the way its close to the island corfu! but trust me..islands arent the best options for october! u ll probably get dissapointed coz they ll b empty..epsecially if u expect u ll see wat u saw in mykonos!

But really..u shuold see the other side of greece..the one in winters!.. n if u are comin after december..u hsuold visit one of the hundreads ski centres too

Anyways enjoy ur stay in greece (here for me!)

i might take you to Goodwill, we could leaf by their pleasing selection of used dishes. Then i might take you to the sea coast, we could walk on an identical time as keeping hands and bullshit for a quick time. Then we'd bypass to Dairy Queen and share a banana split mutually. Then i might take you to my residence that has a jacuzzi on the balcony and we'd make out passionately for sort of 20 minutes, and then issues might quite get steamy from there.

The Greek islands are beautiful. I spent some time in Rhodes and Lidos. If you are looking for beaches and adventure sports those would be my recommendations.
