definately Rome. I stayed in Paris for 8 days and Rome for 2 weeks. By the end of my stay in Paris I was dying to go home, the food is good but everything in Paris is so overpriced and its quite a dirty city and the Parisians aren't exactly friendly. There are lots of attractions, I'm an artlover so I saw some fabulous things in Paris and good shopping. However I don't think I'll ever go back. Rome however I didn't want my time there to end. You go on a simple walk and see the most amazing sights. Fodd is fantastic, people are slightly mental but thats great. Ever since I went there (3 years ago now), I've been dying to go back! Rome all the way!!

Rome would be warmer (Paris can get very cold), both have a lot of tourist attractions, but I think that food wise you would be better in Rome (as you are a vegeterian).

Rome is definitely warmer than Paris - as for shopping and such, it's a tough choice - never been to Rome so can't really judge it - but Paris has plenty albeit quite expensive - especially bars and restaurants close to tourist attractions like the Eifel Tower and the Notre Dame - be prepared to pay (if you sit at a table) over 10 euro for a cappucino and a hot chocolate

Rome is warmer, yes, but :
Paris is called the city of love: bridges upon the Seine river are quite romantic, the Eiffel Tower is wonderful, Arc of Trionphe and Champs Elysées is a boulevard to visit but people are colder than Roman one.
Rome is called the eternel city : you'll find some ruins of the Roman Empire, the Vatican City, the Colosseum, some casas (homes) from the Renaissance time. Roman people, as all of us (latins) are a saucy.
For food: french food is excellent, a lot of wines, chesses and bread types, lot of salads as well.
Italians food is based on "pastas", much more than salads
Prices are the same in both cities
Conclusion : go to Rome, :)

ROME!
It will be warmer in Rome, there are a lot of tourist attractions and if you love shopping Italy is certainly better option because prices are lower than in Paris and there are a wide assortment of leather goods.
And Italy is the most beautiful country in the Europe!

Rome should be slightly warmer, will cater for you better than French food and has almost as many tourist attractions. Italians like the Brits in general unlike the French

They are both great places to be but I would think Rome is warmer and it is also close to the coast.
Rome is more jacked up for tourism but a little more expensive.
Both cities have brilliant transport systems and so you don't need a car.
have a look at website 'wantedinrome' it also covers some information on Paris and other Euro cities.
Have a great hol.

Personally I would say Paris, from your choices.
Paris can be a range from cheap to expensive, while most places in Italy are fairly cheap..ish..
Rome would be warmer. Enough said, it's in Italy, a Mediteranean country.
Paris has a lot more tourist attractions, at least, that's what I've noticed. As well as a lot more famous attractions.
As far as food, vegetarian options are quite wide in Paris. Just visit the Boulevard du Montparnasse and you're garunteed to find a couple of places with a large choice! I've noticed a lot of things in Italy have different types of ham, or chicken with it.
So personally, I would choose Paris, but it's up to you to decide!
