Let me know where and why is it the best place to go during christmas?

i live in Jackson Hole, and I think it is the best every year. At Christmas, we have snow. Usually lots of it. There is skiing, skating, sled rides through the woods and elk herds. At night, the lights twinkle on every storefront and tree downtown. Shopping is great, and there are warm fireplaces to sit in front of sipping your choice of drinks. There are hotels, condos, and restaurants for every pocketbook. What more could you ask for?

While I would concur with all of the New England answers, I wouldn't hesitate to include any of the North Eastern states. The Catskills in New York and the Amish country of Pennsylvania are beautiful too. Of course NE will provide the coastal as well as the mountainous views.

I would recommend you go to Frakenmuth, Michigan!!!! Not only would you have a country Christmas with snow, but you can also visit the worlds Largest Christmas store called "Bronners Christmas Wonderland". You should definitely visit Frakenmuth...you wont be disappointed.

Do some research in the state of Vermont. You will most likely have snow (it's almost guaranteed). The places I have visited in Vermont (south & north) were all country settings

I would say West Virginia but we dont get as much snow as we used to, but we get some. I can promise the country style part of it though.
