i'm thinking of taking a trip to good old Tijuana, MX by bus.

i heard of new U.S. Passport laws that affected those traveling by air.

are there no new laws if you're traveling by land?

I am wondering if any of you out there have spent a long time, or lived in a really nice, low crime, cheap country. I know a lot of you will recommend US or Canada, but other than North America.

There's a glut of snow-ploughs here. They're like buses - you wait ages then loads come at once.

Started snowing 2 days ago, not a single snow-plough. Stopped snowing 3 hours ago, along came a snow-plough and cleared the roads. Then along came another which would have cleared the roads had there been anything to clear. Then came another, then another, then another. 9 now in the last 3 hours. It's gone midnight here, there isn't a single vehicle on the roads other than a convoy of snow-ploughs.

I don't belieeeeve it!!! 10 now. The damned things turned round at the end of the road and come back again. Oh for *****'s sake - a tractor with a plough on it. This is no exaggeration - 3 in the time it took to write this.

It's a quiet country road, it's not even a bus route. There's about 20 houses on the entire length of the road.

I have heard alot of different things...

1. Hotels have pools Motels don't.
2. Hotels are indoor Motels are outdoor entrence.

those are just some examples but does anyone know why they are called two different names for the same services.

I am looking for a budget honeymoon destination for a late June – early July honeymoon. We require a beach and another culture. We want to sit on the beach and enjoy/experience another culture. Please offer any recommendations! It needs to be safe, have a primary language other than English, be affordable (Roughly less than 2K per person for 1 week of hotel and flight from Minneapolis, (4K total)), be located on the beach, be warm and not TOO rainy. There must be at least some sort of nightlife and good food. So far we have looked at Buenos Aeros, Arg. Faro/Lisbon Portugal, and Ixtap Mexico. Please offer suggestions and opinions! We are not rich, but we would love a beach adventure in another culture (we have travelled a lot). Thank you!

Its my sons class assembly today. They have one every 6 weeks. However, i find it difficult to go to them due to getting to the location, set miles away from my village home, i have no access to transport besides taxis. I really can not afford to go as the taxi fare is going to cost me 20.00. I have been to many of his concerts before, and hardly skipped any. I feel bad that i simply cant afford to go this time round.
