I am new to travel and am looking to plan a vacation in august and december. I am open to travel both in and out of the states, however on a limited budget. Not willing to spend more than $800-$1000 dollars for at least 5 day vacation including hotel and flight. I have a life goal of visiting every US state before I die so any suggestions for locations which are not on the top 10 list of places to travel would be most helpful.

I am relocating to Manchester in the UK from Dallas. I Want to take my house contents with me but can't spend too much. I am able to pack the contents myself in order to save some cash. Any recommendations for a good shipping company that operates between Dallas/Houston to Manchester will be welcomed.

This is not a brand new suitcase. Someone loaned it to his friend when they visited from out of town because they needed an extra suitcase to bring back additiional things. I say the suitcase should be shipped back just like that a suitcase, they say it should have been put in a box.. After all don't suitcases go all over the world.
Would just like some others opinions.

I'm new to frequent flyer miles, how much will 5K miles save me on a trip? 5K miles or a certain $$$ amount??? I would think that if my trip totaled 10K miles, and I use 5K miles, my ticket price would be half price? or not? Please explain... Thanks!

I know money is a big factor ( being trapped in paying for a house), but is it also jobs and having to stay there all year?
What are the major reasons that people dont travel more, besides money?

is it better to just be a bum and live with your parents if you want to travel?

To be more precise .... Americans will always say "London England", "Paris France", "Rome Italy", "Sydney Australia". You see it on here all the time. Don't Americans realise that everyone knows what place they're referring to when they say "Sydney"?

Its just something that bugs me, and I'd love to know the reason behind this habit you Americans have.
