It's not one specific week. Different schools have different spring break weeks. Typically, they take place during the month of March, but it can very from the beginning of March to the beginning of April.
Best way to find out is to look at the school's website. As for traveling to spring break hot spots, you can tell that it is spring break time as the airlines increase the fares to the hot spots on the weekends when the revelers will be traveling.

It depends- people can be off anytime between mid-march to mid-april...
