Sure. Frankfurt Airport has a rail station underground at the Airport. You can take a transit train into the city and walk around downtown, or shop, or sightsee. Check with the Frankfurt tourist and visitors bureau or similar office before going., for suggestions on what to see. Allow sufficient time to return and check in before your flight, and you can check your luggage in for most airlines. Ask a travel agent or your airline about this.
There are plenty of sites on the internet. Just type into the Yahoo search for "frankfurt tourist sites", and you will see lots of sites with suggestions for the museums, tourist attractions and so forth.
Have a nice trip. .

Bring a good book that you want to dissapear into. Or, sit where a TV is located in the terminal area there and count how many stinking times Anna Nicole Smith is mentioned.

There's a three-fold travel agency (all are under one roof) recommended by AARP called "Brennan Vacations", "Cosmos", and "Globus" that can possibly help you. Call them @ 1.866.755.8580 and tell them your story. They can probably give you some site ideas.
