I'll be going to Portugal in 3 weeks time. I actually bought the flight ticket before doing any research (because it was so cheap!!). Now after browsing through the web, I'm getting the impression that it's a bad idea to go to Portugal during winter. Is it true about the bad weather and tourist attractions and shops are closed?? That'll be a bummer...

I would like to walk/dine on the beach during the day; nightlife and fireworks; cinemas, theatre, shopping, cybercafé, not too pricey accommodation and able to find friendly people!

Hey,
I need to keep a lecture about Portugese food and wines, and about their "food culture". Any ideas you could give me? Good wines, typical dishes, easy recipes etc. I would most appreciate "inside" information which I can't get from google. Thank you :)

Hi! I am portuguese, and I am living in London for the past 2 years. I am completely astonished, because most people don't know where Portugal is, and how important it was for the the 15th and 16th century. So I ask you, what do think about Portugal, and what do you know about it?

I'm interested in an air/car/condo deal for three weeks, but not sure if there is enough to do at that time of year when it is too cool to sit on the beach.
