When I was at unıversity...my greek neighbour told me that the Turks went into Aya Sofia and spread paint all over Jesus Christ....how true is this? he said that 'no amount of paint can erase the spirit of Jesus'. I now live in Istanbul and I am fascinated by the fact that this used to be Constantinople...A major Christian city. Can anyone give anymore information on this incredible city?

How else to explain 15-25 thumbs up!!!!!????? about a silly answer to an incurious question? What does this mean for this person? (except of the fact that this person is or …acts like Greek:))))

Is it nice to have knowledge, diplomas, prestige in your fields of studies, recognition abroad, and then you fight for your daily bread and are kicked around by bosses and society? At this time and age, when we have abundance, why people should suffer?

I am thinking of attending UNYP, and I know that it is an accredited American university, but I am wondering if anyone has any information on the reputation of this school. And I was also wondering about the difficulty I would encounter with trying to get a job seeing as I do not speak any Czech (willing to learn though), but I do speak fluent English and German and am currently learning French and Spanish.

Yes, they really DO exist!:) I've heard that in some places in Sweden, hotels are constructed out of ice in the winter and are allowed to melt in the summer, only to be reconstructed in the winter. If anyone here has ever stayed in one, I would like to know what it's like.
