I came a lot around in Turkey and the food is good every where but the best cooking does my Mother in Law from the Black-Sea region. Can you all see the smile on my face because I will be there next week?

Oh it's hard to choose. But i can say no for east regions. Because it's mostly about red meat, and that would not be the best for health.

So i'd pick Mediterranean or Black sea, to get lots of fish and vegetables.

Adana region ;)

Actually, I'm not very familiar with other types of food in Turkey...and I'm a bit conservative when it comes to food.

As an Adanian, I can't imagine a life without kebap...and ıspanaklı köfte.

Mediterranean food of course, with pure virgin olive oil, lots of vegetables (preferably grown in the wild, not cultivated), fresh fish, grapes and wine.

That's unfair!

Well, let's see. Maçka's traditional food would suffice, I guess. Poultry, dairy products, hamsi, kara lahana, corn, green beans, fresh leafy vegetables from the garden, karayemiş, apples, plums... Yes, I say Maçka. :)

Wait for me, grandma, here I come!
