I was 4 years old when I last visited; I barely remember the town. I also went to the monastery of Proussos - barely remember that place other than it had a lot of tiles. I've been back to Greece twice - but not to Karpenisi but I saw a home video shot by a friend who has since passed away. Any thoughts are appreciated.

Can you suggest the ideal place to go to in Europe during the New Year for a week with a two-and-half year old son. Nothing too expensive, mind you. Can anyone help? I need first hand information because this will be our first trip to Europe.
