train, get this thing called an interrail ticket, you can use it on any train in any country in europe its a great way of getting round, me and my mate did it when we were 18 and we slept on overnight trains and did a city a day and we stayed in youth hostels when we stayed for longer.

PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION IS FANTASTIC AND CHEAP IN EASTERN EUROPE. ALSO FOR LONGER DISTANCES , THE RAIL SYSTEM IS GREAT, COMPARED TO THE USA. LONG DISTANT BUSES ARE EVEN CHEAPER THAN THE TRAINS. GOOD LUCK.

you can often get flights for cheaper prices than train tickets all over europe.

Bicycle, followed by hitch hiking which can get you killed. Your best alternativ eis by train.
