I have looked on the Internet, have spoken to the travel agent and no-one can help! Does anyone out there know or could recommend someone I could speak to or a website with up-to-date info?

There has been a lot of rain and some tornadoes(!) in the region. Generally speaking, rain is common at this time of year. It can cause short term flooding but usually dissipates rapidly. I doubt that you need to change your travel plans.

I live relatively close (in Izmir, Turkey) and was wading knee deep up the street to my flat a few weeks ago (see youtube "Izmir rain") but by the morning there was no standing water here.

If the travel agent/tour company doesn't warn you off travelling, I don't think you'll have any problems. Go, enjoy your holiday. If there is a problem, the worst that can happen is that the plane won't land (which I seriously doubt) and then you claim on your travel insurance. I think you'll be fine.

Not the airport; you will land safely.

Generally speaking, it is raining (which is most welcome in Greece, which is an arid place), there has been flooding at the areas that are at sea level but all hotels have good infrastructure to avoid any problems.

If you give some more information on where you will be staying, I will ask my cousin who lives there and give you an accurate reply on the double!
