Yes, but I just missed myself. I know what you mean, but You don't have to travel to find yourself, just have to look deeper within. You reminded me of that old song "I've Never Been To Me."

I went to Europe to study abroad in the Netherlands. At first, I would have never left my boyfriend to study abroad. I didn't want to be apart from him (we have been together for 5 years!) I decided to go. When I first got there I was so nervous and scared to be far away from home and my boyfriend. I am known as this shy little mouse girl back at home who would be a goody goody. As the days went by, I began to love it. I made tons of friends. I traveled all over the place. I partied and became outgoing. I even went on some trips by myself. I became Independent. I also learned that I didn't have to be someone's girlfriend. When it was time to leave, I didn't want to go back to the US. I did go back and my boyfriend was still there for me. I do a lot of stuff by myself know also. As cheesy as it does sound, people do go to Europe to find themself! I found independence and freedom!

I suggest you start getting into some serious Classical Music and Grand Opera. That's what I found in Europe and it will open a New World for you.
