I have lived in Melbourne my whole life, and recently I have come to the realisation of how boring it can be. There is hardly any night life, we don't have our own unique national food(except for kangaroo, which no-one really eats), not many landmarks etc. Is it just me or does anyone else feel the same.

I have a friend who is in Australia for a year and i am considering visiting her for about 3 weeks. Do i need a visa? Do i need to keep lots of money in my bank account? (i don't mean for the flights and spending money) and if i go now for three weeks am i allowed to go back again when i want? I know that if you go work for a year you can only do that once, but if i have to get a visitor visa can i go back numerous times for holidays etc?

I am travelling to Melbourne near the end of October. I would like to know if anyone can recommend a car rental agent that offers fair prices for unlimited kms. We are flying in and out of Tullimarine Airport (i'm sure I spelt that wrong) and would like to pick up and drop off the car there.
