Planning a bicycle trip and I would like to go with the wind. Yes, I know, I am a wimp.

You want to be heading North from Adelaide to Darwin.....watch out for those 'knock 'em down winds' as you head North in the the NT - they normally start around late April.

Anyone who cycles from Adelaide to Darwin is certianly not a wimp!! Hope you're bloody fit - take a friend if you can - it's not the sort of terrain you want to be on your own in if you get in trouble!

Wind in Australia generally blows from west to east and south to north, except in the wet season (November to April, when there is monsoonal influence making wins northerly form about Katherine (300 km south of Darwin). But you would not want to be doing this trip in summer.
