Yes, likely you'll need both a voltage converter and a plug adapter. New Zealand outlets are like American outlets only with the tops of the two vertical slots slanted toward each other (like a forward slash and backslash -- kind of like this: /.\). NZ plugs are larger than American plugs. Most razors and a lot of other bathroom appliances will run on NZ voltage as long as the plug shape is converted. However, anything that is not rated for at least 230 or 240 volts should be hooked up to a voltage converter. These can be pricey (at least $30 US).

check to see if your razor iand hair dryer are dual voltage 110/240 volts if they are then change it to 240 then you will just need a plug adaptor shaped like this / \
