hi,
Come to Tasmania and live in Hobart, its the southernmost capital in the country if not the world, the climate is pretty good, public transport is reasonable and you can pick up a decent 3-4 bed place with a garage or 2 anywhere from $230,000 AUD or rental for the same thing from around $190.00 AUD per week, buying cars is fairly cheap, you can get a new Hyundai from $13,990 AUD and groceries aren't all that expensive, quality of life is great with world class sporting facilites on your doorstep, fishing, snowboarding, skiing its all within a comfortable 2 hour drive of the palce.
so personally I think that Hobart cant be beaten, come here and you'll get exactly what I mean.

if you wish to find any further info on hobart please visit

www.hcc.tas.gov.au, site of the hobart city council.
www.development.tas.gov.au, tasmanian economic website.
www.ccc.tas.gov.au, Clarence city council-10 minutes from hobart.

if you would like further information please feel free to email me at any time.

cheers and good luck.
Mitch

BRISBANE. QUEENSLAND.it's the fastest growing capital city in Australia.it's the largest city in area,it's really spread out.heaps of new housing estates going up everywhere and stacks of new inner city highrise constantly being built.the city is built around a river ,it has many seaside and bay suburbs and is 30-40mins drive from Australias #1 tourist destination The Gold Coast and Surfers Paradise.it's currently winter and the temp ranges from about 10-24 degrs,in summer however temps can reach 40 dgrs and often hover around 30+ for a couple of months! it rarely rains in fact we are going thru a drought now and heavy water restrictions apply. it's very casual and laidback but is still supermetro.north of Queensland,Cairns etc you will find lush tropics, rainforest etc althiough you can still find this in Brisbanes hinterland.to sum up, friendly, sunny and with opportunity.recommended.good luck, happy travels!p,s big club scene.

West Australia is the easiest place to get work, Queensland next, Sydney is the biggest and best city and while not booming like WA and Qld is is so big it always needs people. Avoid Victoria at all costs it is a miserable depressing place

You'll do great wherever you decide to go, electricians and skilled workers in general are in great demand. Where you go depends on what kind of area you are looking for, e.g., climate, etc. Try walkabout.com.au for various information about different areas. Try posting a question about what the general stereotypes about different areas/people are, e.g., Queenslanders vs. NSWs vs. WAs etc.
