I have heard that you get 50% discount and then I have also heard that you can have a free trip a year. My mother lives in bundaberg and I am from Brisbane and would live to take my boys up there at Christmas to see her as it has been a long time. Does anybody know how it works and how I would go about organizing a train trip for me and my 4 boys using my card?

I am going to be traveling to Sydney in a few months and I am quite curious about what reactions I may get from people regarding my accent. I have been told it isn't a strong souther sound, but it is there. I personally find all Australian accents sexy. They are very pleasing to the ears, and I am hoping that a southern young woman's accent isn't one of those accents that is gross and terribly annoying.

I am totally disgusted. Why is this happening to Australia? I rarely go to the Emergency Room, but have been a few times either for one of my kids or my partner. My children have been for varies reason, but once one had a really high temperature, and it took them over 20 minutes to take it. That only happened because of he started convulsing.
What are your opinions??

Hey, I'm a 19 year old Canadian guy, and I was thinking on where to go for my Winter Holiday. Then my friend mentioned Australia. To those who have had the honour of going down under, how was your trip?

In Australia, is it still the case that you should sit up front in a taxi. When I was in Sydney ten years ago, the old habit seemed to be changing. With many more Asian taxi drivers around the old idea of riding up front next to the driver seemed to be less important. Has this trend continued? And what happens in rural Australia?

I'll be visiting both countries in a few months and I'm wondering what I can use for ID to buy cigarettes/alcohol. I don't really want to carry my passport around, and I doubt British ID cards would be accepted there. So what can I use? Any ideas.

Thanks
