How old do you have to be to leave without parent's consent in Vic. Australia? And any other info or websites about it would be good.

I'm planning a trip, and I want to visit the rainforest, the beach, ayers rock, the outback, the barrier reef. Obviously not all in the same trip, but as many as possible in the nicest weather possible.

I am an college at present, but I am leaving in June of this year, and hopefully getting a full-time job. I want to save up heaps of money and then take a year out in Australia!! I have been trying to find blogs etc of people that have done this, but can't find any. So I am hoping you can give me some advice. What should I do to start off with? How much saving will I actually need? Is it hard to get a job over there? Where is the best place to visit? Thanks for any answers! :)

I am thinking of migrating to Australia. I came across a website of liveinaustralia.com. Is this website real? and if anyone there has used it before, what was your experience? Please advise me so that I can make my dream come true. If you have other suggestions, they are welcome too.
God bless you all.

When you think of Australia do you imagine us riding to school in kangaroo's or having just normal big city's? trust me most australians have not even seen a kangaroo or a koala!
Australia is basicly the same as america, we get all the stuff they have, and we live in city's,house not under tree's in the bush. Oh and also we don't have acents, Everyone else does! But what do u think australia's like?

They can do whatever they like among themselves granted it's a "human tendency" to make fun of others.

But don't they realise it can be taken as insensitive and rude by those who know nothing of Australian "matey" culture. Using verbal insults in basic conversation rubs it simply the wrong way -people are people and anyone can act like a fool on occasions- doesn't mean you need to parody him for a slip-up.

Here's one very recent example; at an India-Aus, ODI cricket match, http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,21985,22533400-11088,00.html

Ricky Ponting definitely said something very provocative and insulting; and why is always South Asian batsmen who are made to lose their temper (it's clearly deliberate and intentional). Some players like Tendulkar and Dravid may be fine with the sledging because of their past experience in dealing with it. And don't give me the excuse BECAUSE they win everytime! There are plenty of matches they lost badly but were never insulted in return
