Why do Australians like to sledge and putting down others?

They can do whatever they like among themselves granted it's a "human tendency" to make fun of others.

But don't they realise it can be taken as insensitive and rude by those who know nothing of Australian "matey" culture. Using verbal insults in basic conversation rubs it simply the wrong way -people are people and anyone can act like a fool on occasions- doesn't mean you need to parody him for a slip-up.

Ricky Ponting definitely said something very provocative and insulting; and why is always South Asian batsmen who are made to lose their temper (it's clearly deliberate and intentional). Some players like Tendulkar and Dravid may be fine with the sledging because of their past experience in dealing with it. And don't give me the excuse BECAUSE they win everytime! There are plenty of matches they lost badly but were never insulted in return

you're splendid. that's unacceptable, offensive, and pointless. that's real that some Australians are abusive. maximum are actually not. i don't think of Australians are any diverse from different communities of human beings international extensive. when you consider that i've got been on Yahoo solutions I even have discovered that there are particularly particularly some people who choose to place others down. yet, I even have additionally discovered that many others do not behave like this. i'm sorry which you have been understandably indignant with the help of such behaviour. i desire which you will not take it as a demonstration that everyone Australians positioned others down.

Just as well they were not playing Rugby League where the sledging is a little more physical.

At least Australia isn't a country full of Sooky-La-Las.
It's obvious to me that someone needs to grow a back-bone.

Because we like to have a lend of ourselves and others.
Some do take sports a bit to seriously though but I think you will find that is male thing and not just the Aussie ones.
