I'm an American currently living in South Korea. The reason I left the U.S. was because I was not content with the way things are going there. After muck consideration, I've decided that Australia would be a better place to spend the rest of my life. So I'd like to know how much money I should save up to make the plan a reality. You can quote it in either American or Australian dollars.

I've read that the thumbs-up sign, thumb pointing upwards from a closed fist, which over here in the UK means, 'all right mate' or 'good on yer' is rude in Australia, with a meaning of 'screw you'. Is that true? And if so, what sign d'you use to hitchhike down under?

A few weks ago I rang optus and asked them to combine my mobile and my lanline on 99$ one optus plan. I rang several times and each time I had to wait for about an hour and a half....they asked me a lot of questions and at them end my mobile was transferred from prepaid to 99$ plan while my land line did not!after one month I realised they have not changed my landline plan that means I thought I have pay a lot of money without having the benefits of the actual plan.....while they rang me several times and my understanding was that this is going to happen.....then I rang them and asked to cancel this plan but instead to have my mobile from prepaid to post paid ....they said I have to go to 49$ plane a month for my mobile when I asked for cheaper plan they said there is a 19$cap plan per month but I have to pay 200$ cancellation fee for that 99$ plan.....I am so annoyed why they keep me waiting for nearly 2 hours and then what a bloody rouge they are to rip off sp shameleeslessly..

We are in our 30's, wanting good yoga centre, vegetarian food, organics, and clean green air. I'm a chef and my partner is a commercial diver. We like live shows, friendly people, and good wages. Wanting to know from local people what suburb and what's it like living there.

Where can i find temporary accommodation in Adelaide, Australia ?
Where can i find temporary accommodation in Adelaide, Australia ? I would prefer a suburb that is close to the CBD and if possible, something that is reasonably priced. I only plan to stay in Adelaide for 1-2 months.

Do the real estate agents there do short term leases ?

Thanks !

Okay my son is a Wiggles fan (Lord help me I know) And they always say "beauty mate!" What the blokey does that mean?

Also I heard I think 'root' in Australian means sex is that right? So were like let root him on. In Australia that would mean something totally different. huh? I love Australia!

We have fly from Brisbane to Adelaide on a certain date in February. Do they release cheaper pricing closer to the date or sell the cheap seats first (ie, now) and know that business people will pay full fare later & fill the plane up? I guess my question is, do I buy my ticket now or wait and hope the prices do not get any higher? I hav watched them increase over the last 2 months.
