beauty mate means something like great , excellent, cool ...
a bloke is another way of saying man instead of saying "whats up man" we say "whats up bloke" or instead of saying that man over there. we say that bloke over there. yes root is slang for sex our words have more then one meaning
like" i had a root" doesent mean you ate a root it means you had sex but also when you say lets root him on . it dosent mean lets sex him on . it means let cheer him on . this is probably hard to understand. good luck

My grandchildren love the Wiggles too.
Beaut, beauty (usually pronounced "beaudy") : great, fantastic.
That was a beaut meal, ta.
Translation: That was a great meal, thank you.
Your new car is a beaudy mate, bet she goes like the clappers.
Translation: Your new car is fantastic mate, I'd say it will go really fast.
Beaudy mate can also mean yes.
Do you want a beer? Beaudy mate.
Blokey means something a man does, macho.
In our house cooking on the bar-be-que is a blokey activity.
Yes, you're correct about the word root.
We Australians have a good giggle when we hear American girls (or fellas) say they are "rooting" for a particular footy team etc.
In Australia there's a name for girls like that and it's not complimentary. (We all know they mean cheering for the team but it still makes us giggle.)
K Bear is right

is a beaut sight for Aussie Slang.

All answers above are correct regarding "beauty mate"
Yes. "root" does mean having sex. But people do know that "root him on" does not mean sex. It's just that we don't use the expression "rooting for someone" over here.
And, yeah.... "Randy" is NOT a good name over here. People will snicker and make jokes about it.

Hey there! A translation of 'Beauty Mate', from Australian to American would be like 'Cool Man'.
And yes you heard right. 'Root' does mean that. But it is slang, and you wouldn't go around saying it to everyone. Its not as if our politicians and television presenters commonly use it. lol.
Oh and if your name is 'Randy', I'd be changing it quickly if you're visiting over here!!!
