Take it to the post office, they can tell you how you'll need to package it and what forms to fill out. They'll want to know the value of the contents, and depending on what it is, your friend may have to pay duty on it on her end.

i live in jakarta while my bf is in Australia and i usually use Fed Ex to sent gifts and stuff to him.. u probably can choose DHL, UPS or Air Mail.. probably the same.. Oh yeah, u can use online tracking with Fed Ex, DHL, and UPS.. that way u know wheres ur stuff is..
be aware that aussie is a bit strict about what kind of stuff that allowed to get in.. based on my experience ure not allowed to send food.

You will need to go to a Post Office,they will help you with the correct postage, of course you will need the address of your friend. Good luck.

Check the Quarantine Service http://www.daff.gov.au/aqis to see if what you want to send is allowed into Australia. If it is then parcel it up and post it.
