Please do not convert currencies; I can do that! I want to know the relative value of A$80K salary in terms of its purchasing power. E.g., what is the average cost of a home in Australia (I know that it will vary from region to region, but a few sample points will be good).

What is it like in New Zealand? Should I emmigrate?

I'm constantly getting sick of the UK. It's over crowded, public services are getting worse despite best efforts of the government, immigration is out of control, crime is getting worse and the quality of life just looks grim for the future.

I work in an office, travel 2 hours a day and don't really have time with my family during the week. The weekends are only enough time to recharge my batteries and the it's back to work again.
The cost of living is getting ridiculous and I'm working just to scrape by.

I can't get my kids into any good schools unless I pay £1000 per month per head.

Is the grass greener on the other side of the world?
I've never been to New Zealand but they are trying to attract workers like myself to emmigrate.

What's good and not so good about New Zealand when compared to the UK ?

I am still in shock, how is everyone coping with the pain of losing two amazing people we loved.

Am worried for Terri too, she has a big job ahead, wish there was something I could do to help, money is good but she must feel so alone and overcome with grief.

you experienced being an exchange student? Are there chaperones? It is with a group called People to People, I believe it was started by Eisenhower in the 50's. With such a short trip, would they stay in a hotel or with host families? The parent meeting is not until October 15, so I hoped you could help me out with some information while I'm waiting. Thanks!

I was watching the US news about the death of Steve Irwin yesterday and they were explaining how a sting ray death is very rare. They gave a list of the deadliest marine animals in Australia and the top two were jellyfish. I live on the New Jersey shore and cannot even imagine a jellyfish being a killer. Excuse my ignorance, but can you give the me the name of the killer jellyfish or explain how they kill someone?

Thanks
