Well, I love a sunburnt country a land of sweeping plains..... that I have seen in outback nsw.... amazing.... go work in a shearing shed here and meet the people. Go to the kimberly and see the rocks and water that have the crocs. Visit Broome and see how the pearlers work. Go to Darwin "town" cos its not a city. See Byron Bay and the east coast. Go to the snow in Victoria. The steam in Darwin and Broome. Travel the Gibb River rd. Watch the scenery as it all changes. Kununurra has the most lightning strikes in the whole of Australia but only has wet weather over the wet which is 3 months.... Work on a station in the top end just to see how tough you do have to be.... Work a bar in Perth or as a dishy in Melbourne. Wineries across the country everywhere. I love my home.

Australia is great! For me I loved the West Coast, but it all depnds on what you want to see and do. Below are some of the best things I did and probably ever will do!
Scuba diving
Sail the Whitsundays
Fraser Island
Get into the outback
Swim with the whalesharks in WA
Driving across Australia!

Sydney is the cleanest city I have been to in my life. Los Angeles is the dirtiest city I have ever imagined could exist. That I visited them one after another was a very bad coincidence.
Up till then I had thought Durban was really filthy. Australia is also one of the most openly racist placis I have been to. They are so subtle about it an uneducated visitor may miss it altogether, but I went looking for aborigines and found lots of them in poor state over the month I was there August 2002.

I have been to Western Australia and found it to be a fascinating place. Forget the snakes, redback spiders and other nasties there is plenty to see and do. Going down a goldmine in Kalgoolie is an experience not to be missed. A drive through the outback where you rarely see another car for miles but plenty of roos, emus, etc is great. Do not forget the wild flowers in Spring. If you are thinking of going why have you not yet booked?
Go for it

It depends on (a) how much time you have there and (b) money. There's plenty to see and do, but the Great Ocean Road running from Adelaide and Melbourne is (slightly) off the beaten 'backpacker' track and is spectacular. Alternatively, the likes of Kakadu National National park in the Northern Terriotory. Or wine tasting in the Barossa Valley.........

Oz is great.
Best place is in Kings Canyon. Go to the 'Garden of Eden', swim across to the other side. Climb up the rocks to the right and look at the view you get - it'll give you a perspective of how important we are. If you get a better view anywhere in the world I will eat my hat!
