NZ is one place I've never visited, but had occasion to write about a fishing lodge accessible only by helicopter, very expensive. Sounded wonderful. Met some folks from NZ in Hermosa Beach a long time ago and they were wildly funny and nice. A beautiful country.

I don't know much about it. I love the accent. The land is beautiful & green. Of course we all know about Peter Jackson & the WETA workshop. I know that the LOTR movies were filmed there. The crew that worked on the movies seemed to have a genuine love & passion for what they are doing. They didn't seem to have the negative motivating factors that exist in Hollywood. Oh and the kiwi . . . right, isn't that a native animal of NZ?

Where?

Of course we care about our Kiwi neighbours.
It is a beautiful country and I've never met a nasty Kiwi, and if being largely unknown by the rest of the world means they'll stay that way forever, then I hope that happens.
And if you want to meet NZers but can't get there, go to the Gold Coast. I swear every second person there is an expat Kiwi.

Yes, the four million people who live there (approximately 1 million of which are immigrants), the approx 1 million expatriate New Zealanders and anyone whos sports team is playing them.

When I was in Ireland, one of the nicest people I met in my Galway hotel way from New Zealand. Can't find a complaint with New Zealanders.

I have a friend on each island.. both say their side of NZ is the very best . You can take a 'farm' tour of the area.. as another friend of mine had done. They have legends, beautiful country side, quaint villages/shops.. people seem wonderful..
Someday I should like to go there..
