Here in the Philippines, the jeepney has been its trademark vehicle or transportation. I sometimes take the jeepney going to my office, and coming back home. Although the ideal Philippine jeepney may look colorful and attractive in all its bright and festive colors, in reality, and this is true for public commuters, when boarding a jeepney, you experience the worst of Filipinos! Jeepney drivers and their "conductors" call and shout and yell the name or names of the destinations where the jeep is heading, much to the discomfort of your ears. They fill the jeepney with passengers to capacity! Most times you'd find yourself squeezed by your fellow passenger from both sides, you all look like sardines packed so tightly in a can! And, then there's the passengers, if you are the last passenger to board the jeep, those who have already seated themselves would tend to move towards the door leaving you a seating space that's farthest the door! All forms of courtesy disappear! WHY???????

Why is it when Americans do crimes there all the press gets it there and on your tv news, but when Filipinos do crimes here nothing is mentioned about it? It's like so many Filipinos hate Americans yet so many more want and need us.I am not against TP but tell me why? We closed out bases there, gave them to you apparently as now some rent houses inside. We ruled you for over 3 years to help you reestablish. 60,000 americans died freeing your people from the Japanese. Your jeepneys came from where we just left them to you and you expanded on them. The mud slid this year our ship and aide was there for you, so when some young sailors get drunk and meet a pinay outside a bar, why must it look like there that America is to blame? it's not right what happened and no excuse for that, but it was like your press feeds on anything they can blame us for. My fiance is a Filipina.

Purefoods Chunkee's miraculous recovery in the semifinals did not go for naught as the Giants came up with one big game Friday night to subdue the Red Bull Barakos, 90-83, and capture the Gran Matador Brandy PBA Philippine Cup title.

Displaying solid teamwork, determination and grit, Purefoods put Red Bull away with an 8-2 run in the fourth quarter to wrap the series up, 4-2.
It was the first championship for the Giants since 2002 and they did it with a cast of young players whom coach Ryan Gregorio assembled and painstakingly steered from the time he officially took over the reigns in 2003.

Kerby Raymundo, who took the mantle of leadership from Alvin
Patrimonio (now the team's manager), led all scorers with 27 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as he carried the fight for the Giants all night.

This is a triumph of the human spirit. When people said we can't do it, we proved them wrong. Impossible is nothing to us," said
Purefoods coach Ryan Gregorio.

This question is for Filipinos only please. I am a British male and I live in London with my wife(a filipina) and son. We have a Filipina friend staying with us. She had a Filipina friend visit from America and is doing a european tour. She asked to borrow the computer to look for cheap hotel locally for a few days. My wife was in work and I said to this Filipina not to bother with a hotel and she could stay at my house for a few days if she does not mind sleeping on our pull out sofa. Now my wife i am sure would not mind me offering but is it acceptable for a British male to offer a Filipina what I did or should I have waited for my wife to offer. I know some things like these can be culturally incorrect, Have I spoken out of turn. I must point our that my door is always open to Filipinos and a warm welcome.

If your familiar with Philippine politics, you know its a revolving door of corrupt and fraudulant politicians who steal the countries money for their own benefit. From town mayors, governors, senators, police, and especially the president. Its an epidemic and a way of life their that it defeats the whole purpose of having a government...I think Martial Law should be reinstated but first find a true leader to run the country...If Rizal was alive today, he would be so disgusted with the government.
