YEah it does mean "thans for the support"
and yeah 1/4 is the truth and she did not tell about most of the problems here (nakakabuysit!), i'm only 12 and there's really a lot of problems here and all she wanted to do is put a lot of airports and bridges. (iboto niyo na lang, iba kaysa kay gloria hehehehehehehe, lol)

I did not vote for her and I believe that she cheated. However, with the way she's working and doing the unpopular decisions that are needed by the country. e.g. the rvat, the mining law, jailing the coup plotters etc., i can now say that im starting to admire her. She got balls!
Her Sona is more of a blueprint for the next few years. I agree that it can't be done in one year. At least she had the plan on how to spend wisely the additional revenue that may be generated from the unpopular decisions she made.
I'm optimistic for the future of our country because what we have now is real democracy working in-progress. I will give credit to the opposition, local government leaders and for the public employees, who are still underpaid, for their vigilance in the performance of our leaders.
I may be critized by others for seeing the half-filled glass and not the half-empty glass.

PGMA's 6th (umabot na pala sya sa pang-anim na taon, isang himala!) state of the nation address was a sixty-one minute lecture on Philippine geography! And it was a very unsuccessful class session. What irked me the most was why do they have to punctuate each statement with applause??!!! The sad part too was that she never mentioned anything about the past promises in her previous SONAs; an update on significant accomplishments based on past SONA promises would have sufficed. And she brands herself as an efficient economist at that. Aba, at nakabalik na rin ang prodigal son na si Mikee! Is he still on indefinite leave, I wonder? It really pains me to think that one third of my monthly salary (I could buy a laptop with this tax deduction) goes to paying the salaries of politicians and elected representatives who swindle the common Filipino. Haaay...may pag-asa pa ba ang Pilipinas? I really don't want to lose hope for my country. After all dito lang tayo first-class citizens.

i've watched the SONA and i was amazed, it is the presidents First World Approach Plan in our country for about a decade or two.. Hindi nman sa hindi matutupad lahat.. mabuti nga yung may plano eh.. wag nman tayong masyadong negative na hindi kaya yan ng ating pamahalaan. Well, i believe on their determination in uplifting our country towards progress. I hate people who criticized, and yet they did nothing but messing up the set up.

Nothing is new..1/4 truth and all lies..its not a state of the nation address because it did not discuss the true state of the nation(poverty, corruption, unemployment, low salary, high cost of goods, coup plots, etc..)
She just discussed what are her plans for the country..nice to hear but where is the budget? they going to loan again from other country/IMF with interest and more than half of these loans goes to corruption and the other portion to the projects only..since most of the budget goes to corruption, all governement projects are substandard and it just present harm to the people, like the bridges, railway system, etc..

I have watched everything. Well, I do hope they do everything they said. They have such wonderful projects. I think the president really wants to pursue her projects but I think she needs more time. I also think she won't be able to finish everything by the end of the year. However, I think she'll be able to start most of it, finish some and dream about the others that were left.

it's her job to provide a "blueprint" for the future, and hopefully the administration can deliver in the next few years. of course, expect the opposition to put enough roadblocks for it to fail.
i didn't vote for the girl, but honestly, despite the problems of our country (self-inflicted or otherwise), she has managed to keep it afloat. if one would listen to the doomsayers one would expect massive poverty, hunger, and chaos - yet here we are, still able to fill our roads with new cars, attend exclusive schools, go on vacations, shop at malls, and waste our time playing endless hours on online computer games.
what i would like to happen is for the administration to get its act together and make good on its promises, especially for us living outside of Imperial Manila, and for the opposition to give the people concrete alternatives to GMA's plans, instead of just shooting them down without offering any other choice. i mean, at least the girl is offering us something - the other side just offers us hot air.

She is just like my boss... whenever my boss gives a presentation to the CEO, we make sure that it's going to be positive - sometimes we even tweak the numbers to make it look good - but of course, it gets to be more difficult to do that as time goes by... but we get away with it anyway... hehehe
