I remember about an article I read some time back about a flagmaker (the forgotten one), from Johore... Somehow, this guy didn't get any recognition for his efforts that should have been regarded as the greatest contribution in Malaysian history as it was this Jalur Gemilang that had replaced the Union Jack...

Tell me, people...

Hi! I'd be moving soon to Malaysia, near my place of work at Cyberjaya. Since I'll be a newbie, I need some infos especially about the costs of living there.

Let's say Im a single guy, works for a company based in Cyberjaya and would earn bewteen RM3000 - 5000. Would you think that' enough for me to live on? what if i add the following expenses, how much RM would you think I need to allocate?

- Electricity
- Rent for a flat or apartment
- Food! (3 meals a day/hawker food would do too :)
- Transport (from, Let's say if I get a flat in Puchong or Damansara)

That's it!

Shopping? I'd try out the local wet markets where I can get a bargain. Adventure seeking traveler here :P

Thanks!

I came across some Questions here in Yahoo, saying that in Malaysia the national langguage (Bahasa Malaysia) is seldom being used in communicating whereas to English. For me it's true if you're expecting Malaysian to speak fluent BM as if with none grammartical errors an so on. Malaysians instead normally used bahasa rojak. Since most of non Malays in Malaysia aren't fluent in bahasa rojak or slangs, that is why they tend to communicate in English. But still, not English-English but more to Manglish. True?
