I need to withdraw £2,000 from a UK bank account in China, however the ATM machines here limit the amount you can withdraw in one day to £400 and charge you for each withdrawl. Therefore I want to know if it is possible to go into a bank and withdraw the money all in one go using my Visa Electron card. I have looked into Western Union transfers and travellers cheques, none of which are an option. So would it be possible to go into a branch eg. Bank of China and withdraw the money all in one go?

I really feel China is a very pretty country. What is your first impression of China even if you have never been to China.

Hello. I've recently been watching many martial arts films, and we had a interesting video about China. I see many people in these films do a greeting where they stick one hand, which is made into a fist, into the other hand. Is there a specific name for this? Do they still happen to do this? Sorry if I've offended anyone.

Hi,

It is clear to me China is an amazing place and teaching in China for 6 to 12 months would be unforgettable experience, and possibly life altering (for the better, of course). I have read a lot about 30 somethings or older going to China to teach English -- but what about 20 somethings fresh out of college or grad school? For a 20 something who has taught in China, what do you wish you knew before going, both for worse and for better?

Thank you so much!!

Dave
