I have a 7 year old who has never flown before and I'm trying to think up as many tips to avoid or clear up the pressure that will build in her ears. I will have her chew gum during take off and landing and take sips of water to help her swallow. But what else is easy for kids to do to help this? I really dont want her to complain while walking around disney world...

Thanks

i have never used the restroom on a plane,i bring my own toilet...like the ones they train kids with. i dont know why but i think it is because of the germs in the bathrooms. from what i have heard people like to "enjoy" themselves in the restrooms, i beleive it is called the mile high club? how should i get over my fear of using a planes bathroom? or should i keep using my training potty?

AA misplaced my luggage tonight and I was given a baggage lost receipt with a tracking number for aa.com. Roughly how long does it take for them to locate it and return it. If they are unable to locate it, how will they reimburse me?

Hi. I want to fly home to surprise my family -- the only problem is that I have a joint checking account with them and they'd be able to see that I've bought a plane ticket. I'd like to pay for the ticket in cash, but I've never done it. Is it possible? Is it more expensive if I pay in cash? Do I have to go to the airport I plan on departing from? Or can I just go to any airport?

Please let me know!

with the exception of the Concorde, the average cruising speed of a large airliner has been of 500mph for a while now. Why don't they make them faster - I'm sure quicker long-haul flights would appeal to many. Is it cost and fuel consumption?

to change seats after you've booked a flight on Orbitz, even if you stay in whatever class your seats were originally booked in? I got some really bad seats (back of the plane) and looked up that flight and saw that there are better open seats available, still in coach. So, I know I can change them, but will there be a fee?

Since Jet-Airways have started their North American sector this August, and also will be starting other Routes , LA to Shanghai and SanFriscisco to Shanghai , + Toronto to Mumbai etc - I would like those who have travelled or those with some knowledge about this airline to answer this question.
Do you think they will have good loads? Will this airline be able to continue as the world economy is going thru quite a crunch , as one reads from the papers as well as other media.
I understand this airline is doing well in the Domestic sector but will it enjoy the same for the international routes?
Will the Indians living in North America support the airline? or will they prefer other airlines for their traveling needs?
would you travel with this airline ? If so your reasons please.
Thanks

If I book a London (UK) to Seattle flight, connecting in Vancouver, it is cheaper then booking a London to Vancouver direct flight (even though it's the exact same flight to Vancouver -- the cheaper one just has an additional leg to Seattle!). But since I really want to just go to Vancouver, can I simply miss my connection, and leave the airport in Vancouver without any hassles? I'm going to try to only have a carry-on, so hopefully luggage won't be an issue. If it is, is there a solution for this?

I know some companies like grocery stores, and all those companies hire 14 year olds, I want to know if airlines will hire a 14 year old. I know some airlines hire people who work at home, and I could work on the weekends, summer, and after school. I am good at customer service, and I type about 60-70 words a minute, and I love to read and reply to e-mails.

I'm flying in November to see my boyfriend in England. I wanted to have him return with me to the States on the same flight. Is there any way I can get him to be seated next to me on my flight home? He'd be leaving the States a week or 2 later. Thanks!
