I haven't sat next to a famous person, but many years ago, I was flying to Arizona to see my husband who was in the army at Ft Huachuca and I sat next to a very nice woman who was from Estonia. I'm not sure if that country exists anymore. She was very fashionably dressed and had on a fur coat and I was very impressed with how down to earth she was. Estonia is, or was a small country in northern Europe. I think it was bordered by Russia. Anyway, she was very interesting.

I once sat next to Bradley Whitford (from "Revenge of the Nerds 2", "The West Wing", and "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip") on an American Airlines flight from Chicago to Los Angeles.

I sat next to Lea Salonga in first class back in 2002. Lea Salonga is known for Miss Saigon and various recording songs, that have hgit the tops charts in the Philippines. I didnt know who she was until after the trip..thats probably why she didnt mine chatting with me during the 11 hour trip.

Actually sat beside? The only one that comes to mind is Rick Majerus, the former University of Utah basketball coach (now coach at St. Louis University) sitting across the aisle from me on the way to L.A. late one night.

But in the airport, I've met (and gotten autographs from some):

Hank Aaron and his wife (shook his hand; he was great)
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (he was a jerk-- and I'm a Laker fan!!)
Deion Sanders (he was very nice)
B.B. King (and saw Lucille in a box)
Nigel Mansell--Indy Car driver
Evander Holyfield, right after Tyson bit his ears
Bill Anderson, country music singer
Dante Bichette, former baseball player
The entire Angels team when they came into ATL to play the Braves a few years ago
The entire Duke men's basketball team after they lost in the ATL regionals a few years ago-- Coach K was in a bad mood
The University of West Virginia men's b-ball team after they lost in the same regional
The Atlanta Falcons when they came in from Minnesota after winning the NFC title
The Atlanta Braves last season going to Arizona after a game
Dan Marino-- he was very nice
Wilson Betimit, baseball player w/ the Yankees now
Danny Glover
John Goodman
President and Mrs. Carter arriving from Rome

This is all I can think of off the top of my head without going into my autograph drawer.
