I'm flying in November to see my boyfriend in England. I wanted to have him return with me to the States on the same flight. Is there any way I can get him to be seated next to me on my flight home? He'd be leaving the States a week or 2 later. Thanks!

Seating is rarely first come, first served. Especially on international flights. Ask your flight attendant to see if you can be seated together. Very often they will be able to make it so.

If the seat is not already filled, then why not? Seating is first come-first served so just get your tickets ASAP and it should be no problem.
