From LAX, it is16hrs going there and 11hrs going back. The differences is due to the wind current.
If money is not the issue, I would fly ANA and stop at Tokyo for couple days. Their service is the best. The cost is about $1,117.80 for the flight.
If you look for cheap tickets, you should search for China Eastern
