Until two years ago i would have said you can carry Anything except a gun! Times have changed and these days its no no to lipstick/body lotion/perfume/nail clippers/my nephew's yo-yo (it could be a bomb!)/batteries/baby formula and cough syrups- to hell with the hungry baby!

a rock, a stick, a penny, a nail, a string, a pin, a pen, a wallet, a tooth, a hair, a lash, a cup, a clock, a radio, a tv, a fake hamster, a brush, a comb, a noodle, a grain of sand, a card, a picture etc. etc . etc.

mostly anything except things that can be used as a weapong, but no liquids over 3 ounces and they have to be in a plastic bag.

It depends on the airport rules. I believe you can bring your medication provided the there is an accompanying doctor's prescription. Your jacket, of course your travel documents, reading materials, duty free stuff ...

A few things you cant bring...anything sharp (like a nail file or clippers)
Shampoo bottles bigger than one use size.
You can also check with your respective airline.

change of clothes, socks etc. in case they lose your baggage and nothing sharp or liquid that you don't need. they keep on changing the rules so be prepared to leave things at the airport.
