Just realised Phumzile Mlambo-Ngcuka is Deputy President
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phumzile_Mlambo-Ngcuka
(excuse my naivity, living so far away from home I though it was still Zuma)
Does this mean that when Mbeki leaves, which I hear is soon, that she will become President if the ANC wins again?

We arrive in Cape Town 18th Nov and have 1 week to fill - is it safe and easy to camp in the countryside around Cape Town? Which of the many national parks are most worth a visit?
Is there anything we should make an effort to do? We want to spend as much time out in the countryside as possible - my only qualms are safety.

The ANC has set aside R10million in the Budget to pay his Lawyers. Is this hush money to stop him exposing the truth behind the ANC government and the corruption or maybe in exchange for standing down from the Presidency race? Like the AIDS debacle another Mbeki f*ck up.

I was brought up in South Africa (although not born there) and I struggle to understand why people in other countries have a negative attitude towards South Africa. Not only foreigners, but ex pats too.
There are some (friends of mine) who constantly put down South Africa and repeat that they will never return there to live, but proudly support the rugby and cricket teams which I think is a contradiction. My attitude is that if you don't accept the country for what it is and embrace the change that has happened, then p*ss off to another country but don't tell everyone how great the South African sporting teams are and how much you miss 'home'.
Fact - the South African constitution is the most democratic in the world!
