I have looked but I can't seem to find a comprehensive document.

You can get a list from http://africanlanguages.com/south_africa/place_names.html and some explanation/meaning of the new names. The list consists of cities, towns, provinces and rivers. They also give some explanantion or meaning for other place names, that haven't changed.

Think of all the name changing and the money that is used to do it. I am sure that even the underprivileged would rather has houses and schools and descend hospitals. (Witbank is now Emalahleni)

pietersberg = polokwane
joburg international = OR Tambo International

pretoria = soon to be tshwane

I doubt the ANC considered documenting the changes and when they do it will go to some BEE company who will stuff it up.
