My dear if you're not from here, dont take public transport anywhere, its not reliable and it'll probably take you a whole day to get there. Take the plane to Cape Town, rent a car and take the drive its gorgeous country side views, you take the N1 highway towards Worcester, drive till you get to the turnoff for Ceres to your left, drive straight till you get a T junction go right still following the boards to Ceres and eventually you'll drive right into the main road. It sits nestled in between mountain ranges, breath taking. The drive takes about 4 - 5 hours depending your experience on mountain passes and how soon you need to get there. Take friends and enjoy the trip!

As for public transport I think it's a miss, only cos there isn't any really! I think the best thing to do would be if you knew someone in Cape Town and you asked them to take you, or else you could rent a car and get a map on how to get there. The roads are pretty much all straight , so once you get out of Cape Town it should be easy and definitely worth wile! You cannot fly to Ceres. Have fun!

Hire a car in Cape Town,
Drive toward the sea or docks and take the N1 toward Paarl.
Just before you get to Paarl take the road toward Wellington then Tulbugh.
From Tulbugh it is just a few miles from Ceres.
If you are going in summer, make sure that your car is air conditioned, last time I was in Ceres it was 42 degrees C.
Have a good trip and enjoy Cape Town.

There are no major airports close to Ceres. Why don't you rent a car. It is an easy and beautiful drive there.

best to hire a car and drive from cape town - it's about a 2hr drive. there could possibly be private charter planes - ask a local travel agent when u get here.
