Are Nigerians the highest population of foreigners living in the United States. Please check the stats. Do you know that there are over 120million Nigerians world wide.
Generally Nigerians travel a lot. They are all over the world. Even South Africa. They are seeking greener pasture. They are running from years of economic plundering by corrupt leaders and foreign in(de)vestors. They are looking for opportunities for a better tomorrow for themselves and their family.
Funny thing is a lot of foreigner cant seem to get enough of the Country. My last visit to Lagos, I noticed that all sort of restaurants have sprang up. Korean, Italian, etc. I stayed at the Eko Hotels and there were people arriving every night from All over the world. Why do people go there when its so bad that the Nigerians have to leave.
I see expats doing jobs that require nil technical input in multinational oil firms. I see trained and intelligent Nigerians doing jobs that are way below their IQ.
Back in the US and the UK. I see Nigerian working in high tech environment. Bearing high level responsibilities, making important decisons and I ask could they not be doing more in their own country.
Nigeria has huge problems and its not something to make fun about. Bono was there about the same time as I was and more recently Jay Z. These are people trying to make a difference.
Please respect that.

Nigeria is a seperate country to South Africa, it is actually very far away from South Africa. I understand your frustration however we cannot control the behaviour of another country.
