I have spoken to South Africans who insist there would not be a problem if I travelled there but having done a bit of reading into this the impression that I am getting is that i would probably encounter racism from the white South Africans as despite the fact that apartheid no longer exists, the mentality is still very much evident.
Could someone truthfully tell me if I would experience problems as I could book to go somewhere else instead. I never thought my skin colour would be a big problem in countries until about 5 years ago when I went to Mexico and experienced a lot of racism [people not wanting to serve me in cafes; telling me hotels were full when they were not, and being asked to get off of buses so my passport could be checked and then being told that I wasn't really British]. I now try to make myself as aware as possible about my future destinations and would not for example travel to Russia due to the prevalence of neo-nazi factions and several other countries.

Oh, I know - because of their magnificent generosity offering PW's family a state funeral.

A couple of years ago a friend of mine said that he would love to be on the Survivor Reality Show. Now that we had our own Survivor show, he's saying it's the craziest thing he ever heard of and he'll never make such a fool of himself. He also didn't watch the show. Another fun question, guys. No need to argue. Best answer goes to the funniest story about difficult South Africans.

Boxing Day or Day of Goodwill? And what does it mean to you? I've heard different stories about what both of these names mean, so gimme your opinion as well.

Sadam Hussein is sentenced to death while PW Botha was allowed to live a peaceful old age, protected by the state, when he died he was offered a state funeral and all flags are still flying at half mast. Such generosity is scarce in this world with its Saddams, Pinochet, Bothas, etc.

I just discovered this great online store over here - The African Hut - I'm going to order all the stuff I haven't had in years - boerewors, biltong. droewors, Horlicks, Castle Lager (can't wait) and other stuff I haven't had for a while.
Are there other such places worldwide?

Some of you may have heard that I'll be back in the most beautiful country in the world in January. Well, it has just been confirmed. I'll be in SA from January 1st to January 29th. I'll spend some time in George. I'll do the whole "braai-thingy", "Castle-drinking" and visiting friends or family. What to do when I get bored? Can you list 10 things for me to do? Have fun, you guys! I know how to entertain myself. Just wanna hear what you guys suggest.

This question is not done. Please support your answer by adding a picture to your post. If you think Table Mountain is the most beautiful place in South Africa, please add a link to a pic of this mountain. Another fun question, you guys! Have fun searching the net for pictures. Maybe this will steer your thoughts to something positive. And if it's a negative thing you may find beautiful...what the heck! It's fine with me.
