I am planning a trip to KC, MO in December to see the Big XII Championship game, and have heard Country Club Park is an area with a nice upperclass nightlife. Is it? What time is last call for alcohol in this city?

I have 3 cats to be looked after whilst I'm away, but dont need to worry about rent as it's my Dad's apartment and he owns it outright. I've never been overseas but am worried about getting homesick and not being able to work. I am seeking work at the moment and it would be good to get away. But I'll really miss the cats and my family and friends. Pays $500 AUD per week and includes meals accom. and flights to and from ports. I need to pay my own visa and vaccination approx. $350 AUD. The 1st journey for up to 6 mths departs just before christmas. I'm a little scared as i've never been overseas before.
