I'm not a scout but I'm just curious:
1. How are you suppose to get undress in 20 secs?
2. Rescue the victim is he's stronger than you are?

I have always been a decent swimmer on my high schools swim team, this year being my last i have become captain of my team and am close to making state qualifying times in the 50 free and100 free. My turns are not great and i could use any other advice that anyone can give. What sort of things will help improve my stroke and endurance as well as my turn?

I'm taking a SCUBA diving class at my college, and since I am OCD I keep on worrying and worrying about the Air Embolism they mention. Exactly what depth should you start worrying about AE and what is the best way to avoid having one? Is there any real danger of having one while doing "practice dives" in a swimming pool?

I'm having problems getting my backstroke going. One is that I keep sinking, the other is that every time I get the push I need to shoot forward, I get a rush of water over my head that I end up inhaling. Any tips?

If you are suposed to relax while doing strokes and not strain your muscles, how do you increase your swimming speed? I want to increase from 2 km/hr to 3 km/hr

Hi...going to be wearing a wet suit for the first time, when i brave the chilly(at this time of year) waters off the Mallorcan (Majorcan) coast..

does it really matter if the garment that i wear under it is thin,thick..or is it better not to wear anything..
also what about trunks..??? i normally wear long (down to the knee) shorts when i am swimming...is it prefereable to wear these..or thinner ones...

I would like the best warmth i can get out of wearing what i can get my hands on..

Thanks

Michael

I brushed against some fire coral courtesy of another diver and wild arms out in Mexico ! It only got me on the very edge , I got some vinegar on it on the boat , now a week later I have a pinhead itchy rash all over my hand it stops where my wetsuit was on my wrist , is this normal for the reaction to take a week ? thanks

I'm learning to swim, I started last week and I wear goggles like most swimmers since its impossible to see under water without them, but somehow people are swimming and going underwater and they DONT HOLD THEIR NOSE.. But they don't have anything plugging their nose holes either.. how is it even possible? Its not fair that I swim laps and can only use one arm.. so my swimming is very slow.

I knew it was impossible but since others could do it, I decided to try to put my head under water and try to not hold my nose and as soon as my head went under, the water shot directly up my nose and down my throat and I nearly choked and almost couldn't jump out to cough up the water. How is it possible? Ive tried breathing out through my nose to stop the water but it only lasts for 2 seconds then I get rushed in with water and choked.

I have recently passed PADI open water and was hoping to get kitted out for Scuba diving. How do I find out what equipment I need and approximately how much will this cost?
Is it a good idea to look for this second hand? Thanks.
