You could possibly be getting an allergic reaction to the pool in which you swim. Sometimes people start getting allergic reactions after an extended period of swimming in a certain pool.

Or are you saying that you're having trouble playing land sports and you're in shape? Many swimmers have trouble with running because of the difference in breathing patterns b/n swimming and running. Maybe you're just too used to swimming breathing patterns.

Anyways, we can't tell you exactly over the internet, because we obviously can't see you. Go talk to your coach and explain to him/her what's wrong. Coaches know these things really well. And if this problem keeps going on or gets even worse, go see a doctor.

I have exercise-induced asthma, and it might sound like you're developing that, but only your doctor could diagnose you. Swimming is one of the best sports for people with asthma though! So keep at it!

This could be one of many things... but it sounds like you either have exercise-induced asthma or vcd. vcd is a vocal chord disorder which makes it hard to breathe and usually thought to be exercise-induced asthma. If you are not sure go see an asthma specialist or your doctor.
