what would be the best line that has the least line shy effect of fish

To answer about offering an alternative: First of all the fish that enter Long Island Sound are not stocked fish as they are in the inland waters. The government does not control how many fish come into or go out of the Sound. There are funds already in place to help clean the Sound, so it will stay safe for recreation. It will cost the state more to enforce this tax. There would have to be patrols that would make random checks on fishermen asking for proof of the paid taxes. Worst of all, they will disrupt the quiet that is needed so the fish aren't scared away. Little by little this state keeps choking its residents with the highest cost of living in the nation and now they want to pull the noose tighter. What do you suggest?

I want to make sure she won't drown if she happens to fall off the boat. I think she weighs about 40 lbs. She is deep in the chest , but not real long in the body. She has long hair that could get tangled in straps, so I am concerned about that.

I live in a southern New England state that is considering putting a tax on fishing in Long Island Sound. This is outrageous. People fish for the sport, but primarily to get fresh fish and not pay over $8.00 per pound for it. Please give your opinion.

When my hubby and I are out on the boat, he is always trolling the boat and I like to keep the boat still. Does trolling scare the fish because of the noise underneath the boat or is trolling good to keep moving?

As far as taste and ease of filleting. We are shore fishing, so please don't list the deep-sea ones.

I'm shopping for a new fishing reel for this spring. I noticed that all of the spinning reels tell how many bearings they have. Is it better to have less or more bearings, and what purpose do they serve, what advantage do they give you?

I'm planning a trip up to Alexandria, MN before the fishing openers in mid-May. Is it still okay to fish? Or can we fish but just not keep anything we catch?

My daughter found a lobster looking creature in a man made lake at a local park. The lake is fed by a river. It was red and about 10 inches long, was this a Crayfish or what?
