I have heard of anglers catching them in golf courses. Additionally, are there any locations in Southern California, Los Angeles area that I can find a pond that is okay to fish in?

They acted like they were the only ones on the lake when we pulled up in their area to fish. Is this normal or do they do this all over the place? We laughed at them and they took off out farther over the horizon. Has anyone else seen this behaviour from them?

I am not talking about fishing for flys. I mean you use artificial lures that resemble bugs that live near or in the water

Do you know a way to kill all the fish in a pond and still have them safe to eat? Dynamite, M-80's, etc. aren't an option...

In our local pond, we have lots of talapia that form their little nests in the spring. My friends and I usually try to catch them by snagging them, but this is a long and tiring process. I know you can catch talapia with cast nets, but I was wondering what they ate and what kind of bait or lure I could use to catch the fish.

Are buffalo the smartest, wiliest, most arrogant fresh water fish?
Here in Missouri we have a bunch of them. The big ones love to patrol right in the middle of streams and lakes. Then they jump right in front of you, I cast out, they go up/down stream for exactly 37 seconds, come back and jump 2 and 1/2 inches from bait. Then like a skater doing a double, jump again, in case I wasn't paying attention, and look me right in the eye. I've even gone into shallow water in summer to try to punch one out and it squiggles right under my legs and hid in a mocison hole. How do you catch them?

I was fishing off a cause-way and got my lure hooked up. The edge was concrete and about 20 degrees steep. My smart mind told me to break line. My fishermind told me to not let nature beat me. So I started down. Bam, spouting water, grabbing glasses, trying to not drown while laying on my backin I-don't-know-how deep water. Get out of water, and have to climb back off the cause-way. Only thing saves me is a treeroot. The worse is having to tell wife I killed cellphone. But, oh it was glorious to survive and get scared. Was I stupid?
