Sorry and no offense, but I hope you are not going to eat anything from any water source from around there.
Do your self a favor and drive a ways out of town to fish or even better move out west or Alaska where the real fishing is at.

City Island. I grew up fishing in City Island. I don't remember the park but it was located next to the bridge. The flounder fishing was excellent in City Island. You could go to Jack's B&T shop. If you go on a City Island party boat you will definitely catch bluefish and probably striped bass. Also the apartment buildings along the main avenue is usually on the waterfront. At certain buildings, you could go back there and fish right in the creeks there.

Come to Jersey, just go over the GWB, and North Jersey has a few good lakes and rivers to go fish on, but this would be a nice lil' Saturday or Sunday trip for you

i would spend a little time to travel to lake champlain. Great bass fishing lake I guess
