Izaac Walton wrote in The Complete Angler, "And upon all that are lovers of virtue;and dare trust in his providence, and be quiet, and go a-angling. Study to be quiet." Fishing or Angling can bring the ultimate peace of mind to so many people, it is part of me, not just something that I do. It has the effect that religion or meditation has to others, except my meditation can last for many hours and bring a greater stillness than anything else I know. What is there not to love about it?

I do love to fish. and my favorite fishing pastime is to get a bucket of crickets and a small fishing pole with a small cork and a small hook and catch the bream in the canal near my home on Dog River. I hardly ever eat them . I mostly throw them back or give one or two to my cats
my neighbor across the street has a 22 foot gulf boat and love to go for Red Snapper on occasion he takes me. many times we have caught our limit he has a radar and a Lowrance fish finder that's out of this world.

NO! I LOVE IT!! Going out fishing is one of the most relaxing ways to spend the day.Even if you catch nothing(which is rare if you know what you're doing) there is something about being on or by the water that just takes the edge off almost any worries you may have. The pluses are good times, good memories, and good food.I can't think of any negatives.

Love it! a great way to get away from it all too , especially if the sun is shinning : )
I do coarse fishing so I let all my fish go.
If you go to a good location & the fish are feeding & get a few big good fighting fish it's a buzz*
keeps you out of trouble too : )

Fishing is very relaxing and I love it. It is my greatest passion, favorite past time. You can either get time alone, spend time with family, or friends, and enjoy the outdoors. What more could anyone ask for? (other than for winter not to come)
