I am going to try fishing with Joe's flies on opening day. Not for a fly rod, but a regular casting rod. I have some of their flies for my fly-rod. Do they casting flies work good too?

I've caught several trout on Joe's Flies. The Joe's Special works great. I just put a small split-shot sinker on the line to help cast since they are so light. Just fish them so the blade keep spinning and you should do fine. Some special regulations areas here we have to cut the trailer treble hook off but the single hook still catches the trout. Good luck opening day.

Well it works for me, and i also use a casting rod. Just don't like the flinging back and forth thing. But it is just as effective
