That's what they say. Supposed to be outstanding fighters and they get really huge. I also hear they are getting pretty scarce. Practice catch and release.

Are you're talking about the Burbot ?
yeah they're good, but every fish has it's own qualities. For the fight Small mouth fight harder than most ,they never stop fighting,Muskie make great runs and bursts have size and teeth of a Barracuda,Then there are salt water fishes I mean the list goes on and on.What makes it the best for YOU!Taste yeah they're very good but so are walleye, blue gill, crappie, grunts, red fish, trout ,cats etc.. If it works for you get out there and fish. What ever floats your boat.Have fun and keep fishing! P.S. I've just looked up the Murray Cod and I don't know much about Australian fish but it sounds impressive.I'd love to go there once in my life and see for myself. Here in the states we have a very diverse climate and a very diverse fishery with numerous fish of huge proportions 100k.+Blue cats,500k+sturgeon,gigantic Alligator Gar,Muskie of giant size with the tenacity of a Lion Plus many other species.Give the USA a try. I will get to Australia sooner or later hopefully sooner.FISH ON! You've got my juices flowing!

Never heard of them. Are they like sturgeon or channel catfish? I think walleye is a pretty good tasting freshwater fish.
